Biography

Dr. Alexander Turchin is Director of Informatics Research and Director of Quality in Diabetes at the Division of Endocrinology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His research focus is on studying outcomes and treatment of patients with chronic cardiometabolic conditions using advanced real world evidence data analytics including causal inference, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling, leading to over 100 papers and book chapters. Dr. Turchin is an Immediate Past Chair of Healthcare Delivery and Quality Improvement Interest Group at American Diabetes Association and a member of the Methods and Data Council at AcademyHealth. Dr. Turchin is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics; his research has been funded by PCORI, AHRQ, NIH, and private foundations.
