Biography

Alexandrina Balanean is the Lead Publications Scientist, Strategic Research, at Cardinal Health, working in the greater Chicago area. She has over 15 years of experience in scientific research and communication, including medical writing, editing, and managing peer-reviewed journals. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in oncology, focusing on health equity in cancer treatment and outcomes, and has presented at various national and international conferences. ​Ms. Balanean received her Master of Public Health at Loyola University Chicago and her certificate in medical writing and editing from the University of Chicago. She also completed doctoral-level (PhD) courses at Georgia State University, where she held a Molecular Basis of Disease fellowship and collaborated with Emory University on a Nigerian study modeling predictive response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in triple-negative breast cancer.
