Anna Scott, PhD, FACMG, is Director of the Biochemical Genetics laboratory at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She completed her graduate work in biochemistry and structural biology at the University of California, Davis. After graduate school, she completed a clinical biochemical genetics fellowship at Stanford University. As a clinical assistant professor, Dr. Scott is interested in inborn errors of metabolism and mitochondrial diseases with a focus on changes in enzyme activity. Her team closely partners with Washington state’s newborn screening program to support diagnostic testing for infants with abnormal newborn screens.
