Biography

Caroline Williams is an Associate Professor in Integrative Biology at University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on how and why environmental variability drives evolution of metabolic physiology and life history in ectotherms. A major research focus is on the evolutionary impacts of seasonality (particularly winter), and consequences of climate change on performance and fitness of invertebrate animals. Caroline completed her PhD in 2012 from the University of Western Ontario, postdoctoral training at University of Florida, and started a faculty position at UC Berkeley in 2014 where she leads an evolutionary physiology lab.
