School of Kinesiology & Health Science
Dr. Christopher Perry is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science and the Muscle Health Research Centre at York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His laboratory investigates the role of mitochondrial bioenergetics and redox biology in determining muscle health and fitness, with application to exercise adaptations and muscle weakness disorders. His lab’s overall aim is to understand the mechanisms by which mitochondrial metabolism contributes to muscle health in order to guide effective exercise, nutritional and pharmacological therapies to treat muscle disorders.
