Colin Oliver is a managing director in the medical affairs consulting practice at Syneos Health with over 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience at small, medium and large companies. Colin has broad Medical Affairs experience, from working in the field as a Medical Science Liaison to building and leading a global medical affairs organization. Further, Colin brings an array of therapeutic area experience, including, but not limited to hematology/oncology, cardiology, neurology, hepatology and metabolic disorders, autoimmune disorders, bone health, supportive care and rare disease.
Before joining Syneos Health Consulting, Dr. Oliver built and led the medical affairs organization at Prothena Biosciences where he and his team supported the global development and commercialization planning for a rare disease asset. Prior to that role, Dr. Oliver served as a medical director at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, leading more than 60 investigator-sponsored trials in multiple therapeutic areas. Early in his career, Dr. Oliver served as a field-based medical science liaison at Amgen and Onyx, supporting the hematology, oncology and supportive care pipelines.
Dr. Oliver earned a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and Cancer Therapeutics from Roswell Park Cancer Institute as well as an MBA in Biotechnology Management from University of Buffalo in Buffalo, NY.
