Dr. Davor Pavlovic is a Lecturer in Cardiovascular Sciences within the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Birmingham. His primary research interest is in understanding the molecular mechanisms of ion transport in the heart and how these may be targeted to treat cardiovascular disease. Dr. Pavlovic has published a number of research papers and review articles focused on the regulation of ion homeostasis in normal physiology and disease, particularly heart failure, arrhythmia and cardiorenal syndrome. Davor’s work is funded by the Wellcome Trust, Medical Research Council and British Heart Foundation, and has been acknowledged by awards by the International Society for Heart Research and the European Society of Cardiology.
