Dr. Guozheng Shao is currently an Acting Instructor in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle. In the past few years, Dr. Shao has been focusing on developing a portable dialysis device. Dr. Shao’s work has won a $650,000 prize from KidneyX in 2021. He was an Amazon Catalyst Fellow in 2016.

Dr. Shao received his PhD from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington, Seattle in 2014. He received Bachelor’s degree from Peking University in 2008.
