Maria Arregui, PhD, is an Assistant Director on the HTA Reviews team at Xcenda. In this role, she supports literature reviews aimed at understanding the clinical and economic burden of disease and helps manufacturers prepare for regulatory and reimbursement submissions using systematic literature review (SLR) and network meta-analysis (NMA) techniques. Dr. Arregui has experience in several therapeutic areas, including hematology, oncology, respiratory, autoimmune, and cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Arregui has provided scientific consulting to the pharmaceutical industry for 7 years. Prior to consulting, she spent 10 years in academic research, conducting interventional and observational studies that focused on the role of genetics and biomarkers on the etiology of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Arregui earned a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the University Jaume I, Spain, a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the Johannes Gutenberg University, Germany, and a PhD in Preventive Medicine with a focus on Epidemiology from the University of Valencia, Spain.
