Join Cole McLarty and Danielle Senador, PhD for an introduction to the newest biotelemetry system in the life science field, EndoGear.

Tethered Transonic flow probes have been instrumental in life science protocols for the past 40 years. They have delivered absolute blood volume with a high level of accuracy, durability, and biocompatibility. However, tethered monitoring is complex and does not allow for the synchronized assessment of blood pressure. EndoGear allows for continuous assessment of high-fidelity, solid-state pressure, and volumetric blood flow. Using EndoGear to collect cardiac output and systemic pressure recordings, Cole and Dani review the new platform and the research opportunities that it brings.

Understanding the Heart’s Intracellular Orchestra: Functional Characterization of Excitation-Contraction Coupling in Cardiomyocytes

Date: Thursday, April 7, 2022

Join Dr. Joe Soughayer and Dr. Adam Veteto for an in-depth overview on excitation-contraction (E-C) coupling in cardiomyocytes and the tools to characterize this.

In this webinar, Dr. Soughayer and Dr. Veteto present tools to characterize E-C coupling in isolated adult cardiomyocytes and iPSC-/ESC-derived cardiomyocytes. They describe how these tools work and how they quantify important functional outputs describing the speed and amplitude of calcium release and reuptake, as well as downstream myocyte shortening and relengthening. Real world examples of data collection, analysis, and interpretation are also shown.
