An educational webinar on the measurement of event-related Electrodermal Activity (EDA), how to score skin conductance responses, common challenges for researchers and how best to analyze your data to gain more insight into psychological or physiological responses.

Electrodermal Activity (EDA) is an objective index for understanding emotional states, based on changes in the skin’s electrical activity due to sweat production. Also known as various other names including skin conductance and Galvanic Skin Response (GSR), electrodermal activity has a long history in research. Whether measured in conjunction with social paradigms, cognitive tasks, or for autonomic arousal research, EDA is a key tool for studying autonomous emotional regulation and psychophysiology.

Because of its importance for physiological and psychological research, BIOPAC has created tools to optimize event-related EDA analysis. Join Frazer Findlay, CEO of BIOPAC, to learn how you can improve your EDA analysis techniques. Frazer provides a live demonstration, using AcqKnowledge software to show examples of what EDA data typically looks like, how it is converted and how to automate your data analysis. He also discusses common challenges when measuring and analyzing EDA and how to address these issues.
