Founded in 2002 by scientists from MIT’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Ferro Solutions develops systems that provide customers with wireless power transfer and charging systems for challenging applications.

The company began with one SBIR contract with the Office of Naval Research and has worked on projects with the Army, the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. From their start in R&D, they now focus on commercializing systems and components for use by medical researchers that grew out of an NIH SBIR program in collaboration with MIT and KRS.
