Lisa Johnson has worked in the field of surgical research for over thirty years, starting out at a small contract research laboratory before moving to Wyeth Pharmaceuticals/Pfizer and then returning to contract research labs. She became certified as a Surgical Research Specialist in 1997, and joined the Certification Committee in 2006. Lisa was also elected onto the Board of Directors as a Director at Large that year. Lisa became Chairperson of the Certification Committee in 2008, and has served in that capacity ever since, with the exception the two years she was President and President. Lisa became the Liaison Officer in 2013, President Elect in 2014, and President in 2015.
