As most metabolic pathways of macronutrients are conserved across all animals, it allows Dr. Levin to choose the appropriate model best suited to address specific questions of metabolic adaptation, integrating ecological, behavioral, physiological, biochemical, and endocrinal scales and levels of the organization.
