Dr. Mukund Seshadri is a Professor of Oncology and Chairman of the Department of Oral Oncology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center with adjunct appointments in the University at Buffalo – School of Medicine (Radiology) and School of Dental Medicine (Oral Diagnostic Sciences). His clinical and research interests are focused on the use of advanced imaging methods including ultrasound (US) and photoacoustic imaging (PAI) in preclinical and clinical studies with the goal of developing imaging biomarkers of tumor and normal tissue response to radiation therapy. To date, Dr. Seshadri has authored/co-authored over 90 publications on the use of MRI, optical, US-PAI methods for clinical applications in oral oncology.
