Dr. Holtzman brings over sixteen years of experience in neural circuits and systems electrophysiology research and an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and surgical approaches relevant to recording complex, multimodal signals from both central and peripheral nervous systems in a variety of species including mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and cats. His expertise covers all manner of multi-electrode recording techniques relevant to anaesthetised, head-fixed and freely behaving animals, and extending to behavioural pharmacology and optogenetics.
